For Vacancy Lab customers with a WordPress website, job posting and applicant management just got much quicker and easier thanks to our simple plugin.
Available to download free-of-charge, the plugin means you only need to publish vacancies once in Vacancy Lab and they will automatically appear on your site, avoiding the need to duplicate effort by posting the same details twice.
As well as simpler job posting, the plugin also enables faster registration of new candidates. Applicant details, including CVs, that are submitted via your site are automatically stored into Vacancy Lab, ready for you to approve.

How it works
- Log-in to your WordPress site and select the Plugins tab.
- Search for and select ‘Vacancy Lab’. Click on the button to download and the Vacancy Lab plugin will be added to your site.
Connection Details
- Log-in to Vacancy Lab and go to Tools > Options > Web. Under Website Upload/Download, select HTTPS(s) and enter your website URL into ‘Transfer URL’ e.g. https://wordpress.mywebsite.com. Create a username and password of your choice in the appropriate boxes.
- When logged-in to your WordPress site, under Settings, select Vacancy Lab. In the Connection Details section, enter the Vacancy Lab username and password you have just created into the relevant fields.
Vacancies Settings
- Choose a page from the drop-down list to select the page on your website where vacancies should be displayed. You may need to create a page if you don’t have one already.
- The checkboxes beneath provide website users with various ways of searching the available vacancies – using a text search, by location or by job position. Select the options you wish to provide.
Candidates Settings
- Choose a page from the drop-down list to select the page on your website where new candidates can register their details.
Finish
- Click the Save button to complete the set-up process.
Uploading Vacancies
With the WordPress plugin installed, there are two ways to upload vacancies directly to your website from Vacancy Lab:
- Open the vacancy you would like to publish. Go to Vacancy > Web Publishing > Website. In this area, enter:
- The sub-folder (category) you would like to use (editable in Tools > Pick Lists > Web Sub Folders)
- The location
- The description that you would like to use (to pull through the information already stored about the vacancy, click on Update Website description and location)
- When you are ready, click Publish
- You can automatically publish all existing and newly added vacancies by ensuring the Publish box is checked. To do this, go to Tools > Options > Website Upload/Download and click Upload Vacancies Now!
Retrieve Candidate Details
- To access the details of candidates who have registered via the website, Go to Tools > Web Registration (Candidate)
- Click Download to get all of the candidates registered through the website
- Click on a row and review the content. If you would like to register that candidate in Vacancy Lab, click Register & Skill
